1. Introduction and acceptance of the Terms
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern the use of the AI-assisted dispute file preparation, document analysis, early risk control and decision support platform (the “Service”) provided by DisputeTech (“DisputeTech”, “we” or the “service provider”). By visiting the corporate website, creating an account or using the Service in any way, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept the Terms, you should not use the Service.
2. Scope of the Service
DisputeTech is a platform designed for mediators, law firms, companies and the users authorised by these organisations. The Service covers structuring uploaded documents and records, making risk signals and missing documents visible through AI-assisted analysis, and providing suggested first actions. The scope, feature set and availability of the Service may be developed over time.
3. Account creation and organisation workspaces
To use the Service, you may need to create an account and/or an organisation workspace (tenant). Organisation administrators are responsible for inviting users to their workspaces, assigning permissions and managing access. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide when creating an account is accurate and up to date.
4. User responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your account details and password confidential, for all activity carried out through your account and for notifying us when you notice any suspicious access. Organisation administrators are additionally responsible for managing user access within their workspaces.
5. Uploaded documents and content
You acknowledge and declare that you have the necessary authority to upload every document and item of content you upload to the Service and to have it processed as part of the Service. You must not upload any content that is unlawful, unauthorised or that infringes the intellectual property or other rights of third parties. DisputeTech reserves the right to remove, or restrict access to, content that it reasonably considers inappropriate.
6. Nature of AI-assisted outputs
The risk signals, identification of missing documents, summaries and suggested first actions produced by the Service are the result of AI-assisted analysis and are intended for file preparation, risk visibility and decision support. These outputs are automated assessments that are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete or error-free, and they do not replace a final legal or commercial decision.
7. No legal advice or representation
DisputeTech is not a law firm, does not provide legal services or legal representation, and is not a mediator marketplace. The outputs of the Service do not constitute legal advice, a definitive outcome or a guarantee of the outcome of a court or any other dispute resolution body. Before making a decision about a specific dispute, you are advised to seek the opinion of a qualified lawyer, mediator or adviser specialised in the relevant field. You should not make critical decisions based solely on the outputs produced by the Service.
8. Restrictions on use
You agree not to misuse the Service for unlawful purposes, in a way that infringes the rights of third parties, in a manner that threatens the security or integrity of the Service, or outside its intended purpose.
9. Account security
DisputeTech applies reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your account and your data. However, no system is completely risk-free; if you notice anything unusual relating to your account, please notify us immediately.
10. Availability of the Service and changes
DisputeTech aims to operate the Service with reasonable care but does not guarantee uninterrupted, timely or error-free access. The features, interface or scope of the Service may be updated from time to time.
11. Paid features and future pricing
The Service or certain AI-assisted features may become paid in the future. Users will be informed a reasonable time in advance before any charges begin. No commitment to a finalised price, credit amount or subscription package is made under these Terms.
12. Intellectual property
The DisputeTech name, logo, texts, interface design and software belong to DisputeTech or its licensors. These elements may not be copied, reproduced or republished for commercial purposes without express written permission. The rights to documents and content uploaded by the user remain with the user; DisputeTech processes this content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
13. Privacy and personal data
For detailed information on how your personal data is collected, used and protected, please see our Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy forms an integral part of these Terms.
14. Suspension or termination of accounts
DisputeTech may suspend or terminate an account with reasonable notice or, where necessary, immediately, in the event of a breach of these Terms, suspected misuse or where required by a legal obligation. Users may also request the closure of their account at any time.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, DisputeTech cannot be held liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service. This limitation does not cover consumer rights or cases of liability that applicable law does not allow to be limited.
16. Force majeure
DisputeTech cannot be held liable for temporary disruption of the Service caused by events beyond its reasonable control (such as natural disasters, infrastructure or provider outages, cyberattacks or changes in legislation).
17. Changes to the Terms
These Terms may be updated from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in a reasonable manner, and the current version will be published on this page. Continuing to use the Service after an update means that you accept the updated Terms.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Dutch law. Without prejudice to cases where mandatory rules of law require otherwise, the courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, have jurisdiction over any disputes arising from these Terms.
